Eduard Beit, Partner

Eduard "Ted" Beit is Partner - Investment Committee

Ted Beit is a Partner at 3Q Investment Partners, where he focuses on sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and plays a central role in the firm's Investment Committee process. He brings more than 35 years of private equity and institutional investment experience to 3Q, including more than two decades as a senior investor at one of the industry's largest institutional private equity platforms.

Before joining 3Q, Ted spent 23 years as a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. He was a founding member of the group, which grew into a global private equity platform with $32 billion of assets. He led a broad range of commitments to buyout and venture capital funds, and he sourced and led direct investments in operating companies. Ted also built the group's secondaries business, sourcing and leading more than half of its secondary partnership investments. He represented the firm on limited partner advisory committees and corporate boards across the portfolio, and he worked with the platform's institutional clients on investment offerings.

Before J.P. Morgan, Ted was Vice President of Private Equity at AT&T Investment Management Corporation from 1988 to 1997. That team managed the private equity program for AT&T's corporate employee benefit funds and later formed the core of J.P. Morgan's Private Equity Group. He began his career as an Associate at Fred Alger Management.

Ted holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder.
