Peter is a Partner & Head of Portfolio Transformation at 3Q Partners
Peter Classen joined 3Q Investment Partners with nearly three decades of experience in investment fund operations, portfolio management, and impact generation. At 3Q he serves as chief transformation officer and specializes in the formation of strategic transactions and value creation & impact strategies for the 3Q portfolio.
With management consulting foundations (Arthur Andersen, PA Consulting) and over a decade in CEO, COO, CTrO, and Chief Operating Partner roles, he has directed over 110 strategic transactions, carveouts, mergers, and business transformations including work that supported Sequioa, Jordan Co., Level Equity, Lateral Investments, Vector Capital, Khashoggi Holdings, Dubai Capital, and the Saudi PIF.
Under his direction, Peter and his teams have delivered 2x–40x revenue gains, +15%–45% EBITDA improvements, and 1.5x–10x shareholder returns. In addition to his portfolio work, he has nearly two decades of experience in the formation and stand-up of investment companies and has architected investment operations, portfolio company management systems, and impact generation set-ups for over a dozen groups. As a “strategist” and “arranger”, he has been instrumental in the capital deployment of over $104 billion.
Mr. Classen holds a BA (Hons) in Economics & Political Science from University of King’s College, Canada and an MBA from Georgetown University. He has served on multiple boards and has held numerous senior advisory roles with governments, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and Forbes top 100 families worldwide.
